Former Senior Executive of the Central Intelligence Agency, retiring after 29 years of distinguished service, holding numerous high-level positions internationally and in Washington, DC, as well as with the U.S. military and U.S. Department of State.
Throughout, John oversaw and led all facets of intelligence and operations, to include interfacing with the senior-most levels of the U.S. and foreign governments, as well as the private sector. As such, he maintains deep and broad relationships across the business community and governments in the U.S., Middle East, Africa, Europe, and parts of South America and Asia.
Ivar Kruusenberg, PhD, is a serial entrepreneur and the founder and Chief Executive of PowerUP Energy Technologies. He holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of Tartu, specializing in fuel cells, and completed post-doctoral research at UC Berkeley.
Dr. Kruusenberg is actively involved in shaping hydrogen strategies in collaboration with various governments. In 2016, he founded PowerUP Energy Technologies in the United States to commercialize his innovations in hydrogen fuel cell technology. He also previously founded the successful deeptech scaleup, UP Catalyst.
Outside the lab and boardroom, Ivar is a former Estonian national snowboarding champion.
